A potential target for Michigan football?
Future Michigan football player Owen Lansu, a quarterback prospect for the Class of 2026, made a major statement on Wednesday by saying he has received his first offer from a Division I school. It’s not from the Wolverines or any other Big Ten team, though.
Lansu claimed that the Toledo Rockets had made him an offer in a post on X.

Owen Lansu a Michigan football future target?
Although he’s yet to get an offer from Michigan football, Lansu is on record saying that the Wolverines are one of his dream destinations in college (h/t Youth1.com).
Lansu has plenty of time to decide, but as of right now, only Toledo football has demonstrated a sincere interest in the Downers Grove North (Illinois) quarterback.
Other colleges reportedly keeping an eye on Lansu include the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Northwestern Wildcats, and Illinois Fighting Illini, according to Steve Wiltfong of 247 Sports.
In passing, JJ McCarthy, who guided the Jim Harbaugh-led Michigan football team to victory over the Washington Huskies in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, receives coaching from Greg Holcomb, Lansu’s private quarterbacks coach.
