Spurs were informed  ‘ridiculous’ striker would only cost £21.4 million, and they have “shown the most interest.”-Journalist

Mehdi Taremi, a forward for Porto, is now a target for Tottenham Hotspur, and they recently learned what he’s likely to cost.

More details about the future of the Iranian international have been provided by journalist Rudy Galetti.

In the remaining days of the transfer window, Tottenham still intends to conduct additional business.

Ange Postecoglou has so far motivated his Spurs team to put on three outstanding performances.

They defeated Bournemouth 2-0 in a convincing victory, and the traveling away fans saw James Maddison score his first club goal.

Center-forward is one of the positions that still requires attention.

Harry Kane’s loss is devastating, and it may be impossible to find a replacement at the age of 30.

Richarlison hasn’t exactly risen to the occasion in his absence, though.

Mehdi Taremi has been identified by Tottenham as a potential replacement and they are anxious to get him in.

The club has now specified their asking price, and the 31-year-old may be permitted to leave Porto.

Tottenham keen on Taremi

The forward, who has been called “ridiculous” by Rio Ferdinand, would be a good replacement for Richarlison.

Spurs have been mentioned for the previous few weeks, but they still seem hesitant to make an actual offer.

Taremi is a superb all-around center striker who can score goals and link play.

For a big center forward, he has an exceptional passing range and wins his share of aerial headers.

It is understandable why Tottenham are interested in signing Taremi given that he just has one year left on his contract.

As Galetti indicates, he wouldn’t be too expensive and would be a terrific short-term solution until Spurs decide who will be Kane’s long-term replacement.

It appears as though Ange Postecoglou wants Brennan Johnson to be that person right now.

They could still hire the Welshman this summer, which would probably prevent Taremi from making a move.
