Outgoing Michigan star JJ McCarthy gets engaged to the woman his father appeared to grope during 2022 college football

Outgoing Michigan quarterback JJ McCarthy has announced his engagement to girlfriend Katy Kuropas following the Wolverines’ national championship win over Washington earlier this month.

The couple revealed the news on Instagram, sharing photos of themselves walking barefoot on the beach with a golden retriever puppy.

‘Me, You & Marley Forever & Ever,’ read the caption from Katya Kuropas, McCarthy’s long-time girlfriend.

The couple has been dating since their high school days in the Chicago suburbs.

Kuropas first became widely known after a controversial incident involving her future father in law, Jim, who was seen moving his hand across her backside during Michigan’s Fiesta Bowl loss to TCU at the end of the 2022 season.
