For years, Jim Harbaugh has been tied to most head coaching vacancies in the National Football League.
When the seasoned coach decided to return to his alma mater and quit the league, it stunned a lot of people.
And just as it appeared as though he was prepared to return to the professional ranks, supporters forced Michigan insider John U. Bacon to put a stop to that.
“I think Jim Harbaugh really wants to stay at Michigan, after speaking with people who know more than I do,” Bacon stated.

Per Bacon, people close to the situation believe Harbaugh legitimately wants to stay with the Wolverines.
The report states that he just ‘wants to know they want him there,’ adding that it’s not about money.
Jim Harbaugh lives for Michigan; that’s just in his DNA, so this makes sense.
He played there, and despite some early setbacks, he has brought them back to the pinnacle of the collegiate football landscape.
The Wolverines are trying to convince him to sign a new deal despite the attention from the NFL, particularly from the Los Angeles Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders, and Washington Commanders. They would really like to keep him around.
After serving a ban the previous season, there are rumors that Harbaugh may face another one should he want to stay.
However, it doesn’t seem like any of that is relevant right now.
It might take longer than anticipated for him to return to the NFL since his heart might be in Ann Arbor.
