Michigan Wolverines Lose WR Darrius Clemons
Clemons is an Oregon native who was previously a four-star recruit. In the state of Oregon, he was the top recruit overall for the 2022 cycle. In 2023, he was not on the field very often. With just three catches for 33 yards and no touchdowns, Clemons was ineffective. This is probably because Michigan has a run-heavy offense and a lot of quality at the position. The squad’s passing game deteriorated since Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards were the focal points of this offense and the team played with a lead much of the time. This side had the ability to run the ball and eat up time in the second half. Clemons ought to be a compelling addition to a team in need of offensive support.
Offseason Questions
There are a lot of unanswered issues about this club, especially since they recently won the national championship. The most important one is if Jim Harbaugh will return. We truly won’t know until there is formal word, but all reports point to interest from NFL teams. JJ McCarthy may choose to go back to school because he has one more year of eligibility. The Big Ten has so many newcomers once the season starts that the conference’s makeup is entirely altered. The Wolverines’ upcoming summer will undoubtedly be interesting.
