Journalist Ryan Taylor insists fresh reports linking West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek with a move to Inter Milan are “totally inaccurate”.
Corriere dello Sport reported in its print edition on Wednesday, via FC Inter News, that Soucek is wanted by the Italian giants on a free contract.
The Czech Republic international is no stranger to being linked with Inter, but Daily Mirror reporter Taylor has shot down these latest rumours.
“Tomas Soucek is repeatedly being linked with a free transfer to Inter Milan next summer. Totally inaccurate,” he posted on Twitter [15 November].
“He signed new long-term contract with West Ham earlier this summer, just hasn’t been made public.”

The rumors that Soucek is headed to Inter have been flying about for a few months now, which is to be expected considering his contract status.
It seems strange that United has not revealed the new conditions despite all the speculation of a contract already being signed.
Soucek had a lackluster season the last time around, but he has shown himself to be a valuable component of the team this season.
It would be devastating to lose Soucek for nothing, but if the rumors circulating behind the scenes are any guide, that is not likely to happen.
But once more, isn’t it in West Ham’s best interests to make the announcement of the new deal? This conjecture is not beneficial to anyone.
These persistent rumors may very easily convince the player, who hasn’t signed a contract yet, to go back to the bargaining table.
Although Soucek seems content to stay put, the club must now formally announce this.

This season, Jarrod Bowen and the previously mentioned Kudus have also filled in as central strikers. Still, adding a natural number nine would allay some of their goalscoring worries, as they have only surpassed Manchester United and tied Chelsea for the joint second-fewest goals in the top half of the Premier League table.
