Amazing : Read what Richarlison says about ‘omnipresent’ 21-year-old Tottenham player on Instagram

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pape Matar Sarr is currently on Africa Cup of Nations duty with Senegal.
On Friday, the Spurs star helped the reigning AFCON champions reach the last 16 of the competition.
Sarr started and played 74 minutes for Senegal as they ran out 3-1 winners over Cameroon in their Group C clash in Yamoussoukro.
The 21-year-old Tottenham man provided the assist for his nation’s opening goal in the 13th minute of the match.
Sarr was there to head the ball back into the box in the thirteenth minute following a shoddy corner punch by Andre Onana.
Ismaila Sarr was graciously landed by the ball. Senegal took the lead when he turned towards goal and shot home via a deflection.
Then, in the 71st minute, Habib Diallo made it 2-0. Even though Jean-Charles Castelletto cut the lead in half on minute 83, Sadio Mane’s injury-time third sealed the win.
Sarr shared a picture of himself from the game on Instagram following the match. “The work continues” is another caption that he penned.
Several of his peers replied in the comments including Richarlison, who posted an applause emoji, and Emerson Royal, who wrote “Papinho”.
“Omnipresent. This word alone can sum up Pape Matar Sarr’s display, as the sentinel of this team was impressive in his activity in midfield,” 90Min wrote of the Spurs ace after the game.
Tottenham Hotspur struck gold with Pape Matar Sarr signing
Spurs have done very well in terms of scouting and moving for some of the best young players in the game in recent years.
Right up there is Sarr. In fact, Jack Pitt-Brooke of The Athletic earlier asserted that other suitors had commended Tottenham for closing the deal on the midfield player in 2021.
He stated on the Spurs YouTube channel’s Last Word in 2022, “I know for a fact that when Tottenham signed him, other heads of recruitment at other clubs ringing them up saying ‘wow, you did well to get Sarr, he’s someone we wanted for a while’.”
It’s fantastic to watch Sarr, even at such a young age, turning into a vital member of Senegal’s and Spurs’ teams. He has an incredible future in front of him.
