Tottenham Hotspur have a lot of business to conduct before the summer transfer window slams shut
Tottenham Hotspur could complete five more deals before the transfer window slams shut. The Lilywhites have forked out almost £150m this summer, welcoming some exciting players to north London.
After missing out on Champions League qualification two years in a row, Daniel Levy will be hoping Ange Postecoglou can secure top four this season. Spurs got off to a shaky start on the opening weekend of the new campaign, with a 1-1 draw against Leicester City, before storming past Everton on home soil.
Eze has been heavily linked with an exit from Crystal Palace for some time following his impressive performances for club and country. The 26-year-old attacking midfielder, who sees his contract at Selhurst Park expire in June 2027, featured 27 times in the Premier League last season, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists.
He caught Gareth Southgate’s eye and earned a place in the England squad at Euro 2024. Both Manchester City and Spurs have been mooted as potential destinations for Eze this summer, but he currently looks set to stay in south London.
OUT – Giovanni Lo Celso
Lo Celso has struggled to force himself into Postecoglou’s plans, casting doubt over his future at Tottenham. According to Fabrizio Romano, Real Betis are pushing to re-sign the 28-year-old midfielder, who’s recently entered the final year of his contract at Hotspur Way.
The report states that the La Liga outfit have identified Lo Celso as a replacement for Nabil Fekir. Unfortunately, Lo Celso hasn’t quite lived up to expectations following his permanent transfer from Real Betis in July 2020.
OUT – Sergio Reguilon
Reguilon also looks set to leave Tottenham on Friday. The 27-year-old defender, who also has just one year remaining on his contract, spent last season on loan at Manchester United and Brentford, featuring 25 times in the Premier League.
