The PSL is going to blow up this season with the signing of Inacio Miguel by Kaizer Chiefs. There is a purpose behind the 28-year-old’s moniker of “commander.”

Defensor Inacio Miguel from Petro de Luanda is expected to sign with Kaizer Chiefs.

If the agreement is finalised, Miguel will become the team’s fifth acquisition for the Soweto giants; the other four have already been revealed: Boschi Sam, Rushwin Dortley, Fiacre Ntwari, and Gaston Sirino.

With experience playing in Angola, Latvia, Portugal, and Romania, the 28-year-old defender will undoubtedly add depth to the club. With 30 goals allowed in the previous season, Kaizer Chiefs are trying to bolster their defence.

InterClube coach Luis Goncalves, who has faced Miguel in the Girabola says the defender is quality.

“Chiefs have found themselves a proper quality in Inacio and I say this because he played against me,” he was quoted on KickOff.

“Inacio has excellent game reading skills and assumes leadership when he has the ball.”

Goncalves stated that the coaches may rely on the Angolan international as a powerful player.

Hugo Marques, Miguel’s erstwhile Petro de Luanda teammate, added that the upcoming signing of Kaizer Chiefs was a fantastic leader.

“Inacio is a very good defender, he has lots of experience, he played in Romania, Portugal, he played in the CAF Champions League, you saw him in the games against Sundowns, he had a very good performance,” Marques told iDiski Times.

Miguel may be the leadership that Kaizer Chiefs have been lacking.
