New Michigan Wolverines head coach Sherrone Moore has made the transition from Jim Harbaugh flawlessly. Not only did he keep players in the program, but he also assembled a great coaching staff. One of those hires was former Tennessee Volunteers linebackers coach Brian Jean-Mary. Recruits recently reacted to this hire, and it is safe to say they are happy.
Michigan Wolverines Recruits On Brian Jean-Mary
In Michigan’s 2024 class, linebacker Mason Curtis is rated four stars. He exudes excitement about having Jean-Mary as his positional coach.
“I’m thrilled to have Coach BJ at Michigan. We had a relationship from when he recruited me (at Tennessee).”
Moore has made an effort to enlist well-known players, particularly on the defensive end of the field. Both Jean-Mary and Greg Scruggs, the new defensive line coach, are well-known for their abilities in recruiting. The departure of numerous players for the NFL Draft and the loss of Harbaugh will be felt by this club. Nonetheless, this club appears to have a bright future.
2024 Outlook
Michigan has one of the toughest schedules in 2024. The Texas Longhorns come to the Big House in the second the season’s first week. With Quinn Ewers back, they are expected to have one of the finest offenses in the nation. The Wolverines’ dates with the USC Trojans, Oregon Ducks, and Ohio State Buckeyes come once Big Ten play gets underway. This year, Oregon and USC must fly to Columbus while they are at home. Not to mention the other challenging Big Ten road games.
The Michigan Wolverines have a difficult road ahead of them. They won’t be as horrible as people believe, though. It would be a true testament to the foundation they have built if they could win the Big Ten this year once more.
