Jerry Jones’ heartwarming gesture to family of recently deceased Dallas Cowboys fan  

The Dallas Cowboys are just days removed from their toughest moment of the season, a 48-32 loss to the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card round. With the loss, team owner Jerry Jones has a lot of decisions to contemplate over the next few months, trying to figure out where it all went wrong.

Yet, despite the Cowboys’ season ending on a somber note, Jones is back in the good graces of at least one Dallas fan’s family, thanks to a heartwarming handwritten note.

Jerry Jones provides comfort for grieving family of Dallas Cowboys fan

Dallas Cowboys fan Tim Washington planned to take his father to their first game together when the Washington Commanders were in town back on November 23.

However, about 100 yards from the stadium, Tim’s father passed away and collapsed before the two could arrive to the game. Since then, the Washington family has been in mourning.

Jerry Jones, the owner of the Cowboys, somehow learned about the Washington family and sent a letter of condolence, expressing how saddened he was to learn of their loss and how humbled he was by their enthusiasm.

He sent food, flowers, and a card to the Washington family in addition to the note he signed. Washington shared his story on Facebook, where it became viral, after being deeply touched by Jones’ deeds. This is the post that Ed Werder shared from Washington.
