Another Michigan Football Star Announces NFL Decision
The Wolverines’ National Championship run is officially over, and team 144 is perhaps the greatest in program history. After the national title celebrations were complete in Ann Arbor on Saturday, another Michigan football star announced his official NFL decision: senior Braiden McGregor, who played his final game in the Maize and Blue in Houston against Washington.

Throughout his football career, Braiden McGregor has seen ups and downs. However, in 2023, he was given the opportunity to shine, and he accomplished just that. McGregor played in all 15 games for the Wolverines as a senior, finishing with 26 tackles, nine tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks. He was named an All-Big Ten selection.
After parading Michigan’s National Championship Trophy around Ann Arbor on Saturday night, Braiden McGregor said on Saturday night that he will be filing to enter the 2024 NFL Draft in April.

His official announcement is below.
“First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude to God for all of my blessings; without my firm faith, nothing would be possible. Many people in my life have helped me get to where I am now. I had coaches when I was a young athlete, and those coaches continue to have an influence on me. I am incredibly appreciative to everyone who has shaped me in some manner. I cannot adequately convey the value of having a community such as ours in Port Huron, my hometown. It’s one of my favorite spots forever.
“To Wolverine nation, nobody has it better than us! No words can come close for the support you’ve given me throughout my time as a Wolverine. To Coach Harbaugh, thank you for believing in a small town kid with a big dream. I am forever grateful for you and our relationship. I feel so lucky to have you in my life. FOR LIFE.
“To the entire football staff, academic team, trainers, equipment staff, everyone behind the scenes; you have a special place in my heart, you know who you are. To my teammates, my brothers and best friends, we made it to this point because of our brotherhood. No one can ever take away our bond, brothers for life.
Last but not least, my devoted, supportive, close family, friends, and fiancée have helped me realize that I was never alone, which is why I am where I am now. Even when I was at my lowest, I had all of you. I treasure you. I’m thrilled to announce that I have a degree, three Big 10 championships, a Rose Bowl victory, and a perfect record versus OSU as I graduate from the greatest university on the planet. Finally, I would like to express my gratitude and excitement about my decision to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft.
“Braiden McGregor, go blue forever and ever.”
