Report: Spurs ‘considering making an official bid’ for player who wants a ‘new adventure’
Despite talk of Samuel Iling-Junior joining Tottenham going quiet over the last week or so, it seems the player himself is set on leaving Juventus in January, and Spurs are ‘considering’ an approach.
Spurs are rumored to be interested in adding a new center-back and winger, so the team is anticipated to conduct some business in the January transfer window.
Regarding the latter, Ange Postecoglou may have Samuel Iling-Junior in mind. The young player wants to leave Juventus since he isn’t getting enough playing time.AllMercatoWeb
Spurs might sign the 20-year-old in January for as little as £15.5 million, according to CalcioMercato, since the Italian team is eager to raise money. Tottenham may have an edge in the competition to sign Iling-Junior due to their good connection with Juventus (TuttoSport).
Nevertheless, according to TEAMtalk, a number of other Premier League teams are also considering the player. Aston Villa and Newcastle are reportedly among the possible suitors for the former Chelsea winger, while Brighton is prepared to make a move.
Spurs still want Samuel Iling-Junior
According to TV Play, a move to Tottenham is still on the cards as the North London side are thinking about making an approach.
Iling-Junior is reportedly seeking a “new adventure” away from Juventus, and his exit from Juventus “cannot be ruled out.” Tottenham is reportedly “considering making an official bid” for their target in light of this.
According to the source, Juventus may get “more than €20m,” which translates to a possible bigger sum than first anticipated at £17.2 million.
I have never been persuaded by this decision, and it appears like Juventus is gradually raising its asking price as more teams become interested. If Iling-Junior proves me wrong and Postecoglou loves him, then I’m glad to move on and find someone else to fill the wide position.
