Incredeble: A ‘surprise move’ for PL top class defender is now on the cards as Spurs contact player’s agent

Trevoh Chalobah may be making “a surprise move” in the upcoming transfer window, according to TeamTalk.

Since the summer, Tottenham and the Chelsea defender have been connected.

Romano had already disclosed that Spurs intended to sign the Chelsea player in the summer, but the plan depended on them selling Eric Dier, with which they were unable to reach an agreement in time.

According to TeamTalk, Spurs “have made contact” with the player’s representation to explore the idea of a potential signing next month. They are still interested in acquiring the defender from their rivals.

To strengthen their defense, they are on a desperate search for another excellent defender.

Their only viable choices at center back are Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, since the 22-year-old is sidelined until at least the following month due to injury.

While Eric Dier is a backup option, the Australian has fallen out of favour under Ange, favouring players like Emerson Royal, a full-back, in addition to his injury.

Ange has previously stated that he intends to add a new defender in the January transfer window, and a deal for Chalobah is not completely off the table.

Chalobah has not yet appeared in a game for Chelsea this season, and if Ange Postecoglou can guarantee him substantial playing time, his lack of playing time may encourage a transfer to Tottenham.

Tottenham is still producing some of the most interesting football in the Premier League this year, despite having somewhat lost their edge from their early-season form.

The north Londoners, who play a completely different style of football than players like Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho, have found Ange Postecoglou to be a breath of fresh air.

At the conclusion of most games, the fans regularly scream his name, demonstrating their support for the changes the Australian is attempting to make at White Hart Lane.

However, one former West Ham player who is now a commentator isn’t impressed.

To Football Insider, Frank McAvennie declared, “Tottenham won’t win anything.”

Actually, the Scot was talking about Vicario, the goalkeeper, and his antics following Spurs’ victory against Newcastle. He feels that Vicario needs to be taken down a peg or two.

He declared, “There’s a certain way to win games.”

“But Vicario shouldn’t be acting that way during the game. The goalie is acting completely disrespectfully, yet he persisted in doing it and giving it his best.

“I’m sure Ange sorted him out afterwards; he would have been irritated with him and said something after the game if that’s what they have to do to beat Newcastle.”
