National media impressed with ‘solid’ £50m Tottenham target on international duty
England cruised to another qualification victory last night as they saw off Malta at Wembley.
The Three Lions’ otherwise miserable effort was sealed with an own goal and another goal from Harry Kane for England.
In front of goal, Kane is always the star of the show for England, of course. However, it’s possible that for once, Tottenham supporters were more focused on Marc Guehi, the rumored target, than on Kane.
Guehi appears to be highly desired by Tottenham. The defender for Crystal Palace is still getting bigger, and he performed admirably against Malta.
Additionally, Guehi’s efforts appeared to be well-received by the national media.

A lot of media expressed support for Guehi; among them were the following well-known magazines that praised the defense.
“6-Marc Guehi remained strong throughout the entire game. The Standard observed that when the minnows did find themselves on the attack, they could have been a little closer to Malta’s runners.
Marc Guehi, age 7 had very little impact on the England defense since Malta posed less of a threat and his team dominated midfield possession. The Express commented, “Could have opened up play ahead of him more.”
“Marc Guehi 7: Even accounting for the caliber of opposition, this was another outstanding showing. Recovery pace was needed one or two times,” The Mail reported.
Spurs are not the only team vying for the £50 million-rated Guehi.Arsenal is also rumored to be an admirer, and Chelsea, his previous team, has been keeping a close eye on him ever since he departed.
Given his easy performance for England last night and his increasing consistency while playing for Palace, it’s no surprise that Spurs and other teams are interested in him.
Guehi thus appears primed to make a significant move soon.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly set their sights on Genoa defender Radu Dragusin.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Spurs are one of several Premier League teams eyeing the 21-year-old centre-back.
In addition to Tottenham, Dragusin, who has already earned nine caps for Romania, is being pursued by teams like Newcastle and Brighton.
Spurs could definitely benefit from adding more defensive players after what transpired against Chelsea and Wolves.
Cristian Romero was sent off and Micky van de Ven was hurt in the defeat against the Blues; neither player was available for the next match.
Spurs’ loss in the final game before the international break was indicative of a decline in backcourt quality.
Ange Postecoglou, the manager of Tottenham, would probably seek to add more players to his roster in January and later on because of this.
Tottenham target ‘really wants to reach England’
Dragusin is a decent shout for Spurs. He is a very talented young player who has been doing well for Genoa in Serie A and looks like he has a high ceiling.
Goal.com named the youngster in their 2021 NxGn list, at number 45. The same outlet – albeit another article – labelled him the ‘Romanian Van Dijk’.
The Romanian international, who has nine caps, is explosive in the air, at ease handling the ball under his feet, and has a high level of energy.
Even better for Tottenham, Dragusin’s mother earlier revealed to the Romanian publication AS that playing in the Premier League is her son’s “childhood dream.”
The reporter questioned Svetlana Dragusin about her expectations for her son’s football career.
“I hope he succeeds in his endeavors,” she remarked. And he’s desperate to get to England. This is his boyhood ambition.
According to Calciomercato, Dragusin is supposedly valued at £25 million, which is quite reasonable for a top Premier League team like Spurs.
