The 20-year-old might legitimately contend that throughout these first eight games, he has been the best left-back in the Premier League, and that he is a major factor in why Ange Postecoglou’s team is leading the league standings.
Destiny Udogie’s situation has recently improved significantly as a result of his Tottenham performance earning him his first Italy international cap.
He entered the game this past weekend during Italy’s crucial 4-0 victory over Malta in their Euro 2024 qualifying match; the next opponent is England at Wembley.
Following that, Destiny Udogie posted on Instagram to share his happiness with the hashtags “dream chaser” and “blessed.”
In the comments section of the defender’s post, Micky van de Ven sent an eyes heart emoji to his teammate, Emerson Royal sent heart emojis, whilst Spurs goalkeeper Brandon Austin told him it was ‘well deserved’.

The long-term potential that Udogie is exhibiting here must excite Spurs fans greatly since, in recent years, there has been a perception that the club has not done a very good job of hiring.
But with Udogie putting on such impressive performances, Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr have also joined the fun.
Those two had trouble under Antonio Conte last season, but under Postecoglou, they seem to be very different creatures.

Clinton Morrison has stated that Destiny Udogie has been ‘outstanding’ for Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur this season.
The 20-year-old joined Tottenham last summer from Udinese, but was loaned straight back to the Italian club.
Due to this, the all-action left defender missed the early part of the current Premier League campaign; Morrison said that ‘no-one knew about him’ in an interview with Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports (14/10/23 at 2:35 pm).
Destiny Udogie has always been a high talent emerging in Italy, so how much football you watch and follow will determine whether or not people are aware of him.
One thing is for certain, though: The recently-captured Italian star’s name is now in much-brighter lights thanks to his appearance in the Premier League.
He is thus receiving praise for his efforts as Ange Postecoglou’s team leads the Premier League standings.

“Another player I would mention who has been outstanding is Udogie, the left-back,” said Morrison.
“No-one knew about Udogie. That was a problem position for Tottenham and he has come in, at a young age, and done well.”

In the hopes that he would shine and emerge as one of the top players in the Premier League, the former Fulham wonderkid signed with Spurs in 2019.
But that hasn’t been the case; instead, injuries have only halted his development as he works to recover from his most recent injury setback.
When he has returned in the past, he has essentially earned his spot in the starting XI, but not this time since Udogie hasn’t claimed it as his own.
