Gary Mabbutt claims Tottenham now have a brilliant partnership building in their team
Tottenham Hotspur legend Gary Mabbutt has now been full of praise for Ange Postecoglou and the foundation he’s laying at his new club.
During the international break, Mabbutt discussed Postecoglou’s debut on talkSPORT at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.
The analyst compared Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven’s collaboration to a famous duo from the past.
Mabbutt also believed that Ange had discovered a back five that could last the test of time.
However, Ange has excelled, and he is more than simply an offensive, attacking manager, according to Mabbutt.
“Foundations must be established in whatever you undertake in life.
“Now that he has arrived, he has added a few players, and van de Ven has been terrific.

He and Romero are now capable of forming a very strong alliance similar to the one Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld did a few years back.
They have a good professional relationship and can be together for five years.
Destiny Udogie is at left back, Pedro Porro is at right back, those four are across the back, and [Guglielmo] Vicario is at the back behind them in goal.
“You have a really strong back five…which permits everyone ahead of them to go outside and play.
Mabbut loves the start Postecoglou has made at Tottenham
Although Ange’s back five now looks very settled, there’s plenty of room for experimentation up top.
Brennan Johnson, who brings a very intriguing dynamic to the side, will hopefully return to full fitness not long after the international break.
Richarlison seems to perform better on the left wing than up front, where he also struggles for Brazil.
Because Son Heung-Min is still recovering from a minor injury, there is a lot of room for rotation.
The manager is unlikely to stay with one top combination, like with previous Ange teams.
Mabbutt must also be pleased with the advancements Postecoglou has already gotten from his forwards, despite the fact that things aren’t quite resolved.
Along with the individuals listed, Dejan Kulusevski is quietly excelling and has some impressive metrics to show for it.
