“I will do that” – Tottenham Hotspur superstar makes bizarre ‘fullback’ claim

Tottenham star Son Heung-min is willing to play as a fullback for Ange Postecoglou

Son Heung-min, the captain of Tottenham Hotspur, stated in an interview that he would be open to playing as a fullback if manager Ange Postecoglou requested it.

Son has stepped up and made fantastic performances in a role that was previously less familiar to him during a season that began with uncertainty and the loss of talismanic striker Harry Kane.

Son has been on a goal-scoring tear since receiving the captain’s armband, showing off his enormous potential. His renewed leadership and tenacity are demonstrated by his five goals in only six games.

Notably, Son Heung-min has been playing as a central striker rather than his usual position on the left wing for these goals. Postecoglou’s tactical change has reenergized the South Korean star and demonstrated his adaptability.

Son performed a performance that can only be described as brilliant in a memorable game against Burnley. He gave the Tottenham supporters a hat-trick that had the opposition struggling for breath. This demonstration of precise positioning and careful finishing demonstrated his versatility and capacity to succeed in a variety of roles.

However, Son stands out not only for his exceptional goal-scoring ability but also for his persistent dedication to the team’s goals. Son expressed his desire to play wherever Postecoglou sees fit after the Arsenal game.

“The goof has a strategy. I will play the fullback position for him if he chooses to do so. You know how I feel, right? If the manager makes a different decision, I shall comply with his request. I will alternate between playing as a striker and a winger. I fit well into every role. Being on the field and a member of this team makes me very happy. I’m just trying to follow the best plan that the gaffer has come up with.

This willingness to adapt and embrace change reflects Son’s exceptional professionalism and loyalty to the club. It also epitomizes the unity and cohesion that Postecoglou is fostering within the squad.

In recent seasons, Son has emerged as one of Tottenham’s standout players. Despite a challenging campaign last year, he has returned to his dazzling best under Postecoglou’s guidance. The manager’s tactical evolution and faith in Son’s adaptability have rekindled the spark in the South Korean sensation
