“Biggest benefactor” – Rio Ferdinand names the player who will benefit the most from Harry Kane’s departure

Former Manchester United defender turned pundit Rio Ferdinand has heaped prasied on Tottenham striker Richarlison after his recent display against Sheffield United.

Since his expensive transfer to Spurs, the Brazilian has struggled. He recently revealed that he is having mental difficulties as well and that he plans to seek professional assistance.

On Saturday against the Blades, he came off the bench to propel Tottenham to a spectacular comeback.

It appeared as though Spurs would lose after Sheffield took the lead against the flow of play in the 73rd minute. However, the former Everton striker netted with a header from a corner in the 98th minute and then provided the assist for Kulusevksi’s game-winning goal two minutes later.

And the former Manchester United player was gushing about his performance. On his YouTube page, he stated:

“I have to admit, I think highly of him. I adore his enthusiasm, and I truly like him. The other day, when he said that he wants to see a psychiatrist to help him deal with the predicament he’s in right now, I felt bad for him. But I just believe that nobody is aware of what is happening behind the scenes, therefore I hope he is correct.

“But as a player, I like him. I recall talking to Carlo Ancelotti about him when he was at Everton, and he said that this young man will play for a Champions League side and be one of the finest players in the world because of how talented he is. If Harry Kane leaves, Richardson might stand to gain the most from his departure.

Richarlison’s reputation appears to be shifting, and rightfully so. Although the past 18 months have been difficult for him, his performance against Sheffield may provide him with the chance to restart his Spurs career.
