Anyway, today’s crop of rumors has a clear London concentration, with Chelsea pursuing goalkeepers, Ivan Toney pursuing a Brentford escape, and Arsenal pursuing a young man dubbed “the next Jude Bellingham.” There is no pressure, therefore.

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy claims to have a buyback clause on Bayern Munich’s significant summer transfer window signing, striker Harry Kane, according to a report from the Evening Standard that was picked up by ESPN:
According to the Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has admitted that the London club included a buyback mechanism in the agreement that saw Harry Kane join Bayern Munich in August.
At a fan forum on Tuesday, Levy, together with men’s and women’s managers Ange Postecoglou and Robert Vilahamn, captains Heung-min Son and Beth England, and others, acknowledged that Spurs have the option to re-sign Kane in the future.
Whoa, what?
This is the first that anything has emerged that Tottenham Hotspur might have some sort of clause that would the club to bring back Kane for a fee.
Is it true? Is levy off his rocker? Surely, there will be some follow-up reports by the German media soon enough.

The buy back clause for Harry Kane from Bayern Munich has been disclosed by Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy.
Kane’s departure to the German powerhouses was the summer’s biggest transfer story as he departed Tottenham in a deal worth an astounding $AUD169 million.

However, Levy’s admission on a Tottenham supporter site suggests that Kane may still be around in North London at this point.
Levy stated, “We have a buy back clause for Harry Kane,” albeit he did not specify the value of the clause.
“I want to thank Harry for everything he’s done for us,” Levy continued. He is always welcome to return.
Harry will always be remembered as a beloved and important member of the Spurs family.
In 435 appearances in all competitions, Kane scored an astounding 280 goals, leaving Tottenham in the process.
When he passed Jimmy Greaves in March, he also broke the record for goals scored by Tottenham.
While his departure from Tottenham left a huge void in the team, it also brought in crucial funds to support the club’s development under new manager Ange Postecoglou.
The Australian manager spent a staggering $415 million on new players, among them English international James Maddison, Dutch center-back Micky van der Ven, and Welsh winger Brennan Johnson.
Despite the loss of their talisman striker, Postecoglou’s new-look Tottenham team have proved several doubters wrong as they sit in second on the Premier League ladder and are one of four teams who remain undefeated.
Tottenham fans have once again fallen in love with their team as a result of the players’ embracing of Postecoglou’s eye-catching style of play.
Levy, who was overjoyed at how well the club was performing under the Australian coach, sent a stern warning to their Premier League rivals.
“We’ve got our Tottenham back,” Levy declared.
“All we want is to watch football the way we used to.
We’re all in this together, club personnel, players and non-players. There is a different vibe all across the place.
