Green Bay Packers: Anders Carlson Catches Strays After Brutal Tyler Bass Missed FG vs. Chiefs

After his crucial miss in last Sunday’s NFC divisional round game against the San Francisco 49ers, NFL fans appeared to be moving on from Green Bay Packers kicker Anders Carlson. However, a brutal missed kick moments later had everyone talking about Carlson once more. This time, Tyler Bass’s attempt to kick the ball through the uprights against the Kansas City Chiefs cost the Buffalo Bills a significant victory.

Right after Bass’ failed kick, social media went down to work to make fun of both Bass and Carlson.

In Bass’ case, he had a shot at tying the game against the Chiefs with a 44-yard FG try late in regulation. However, his kick went wide right, essentially leaving the Chiefs with the win in the bag. Carlson, on the other hand, could have extended the Green Bay Packers’ lead to seven points with a little over six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Instead, his missed goal re-energized the Niners, who took the lead for good in the following drive when running back Christian McCaffrey found the end zone with his legs.
