Tottenham ready to dip into striker market and EPL rivals “bracing themselves” for bids for £19m ace
Tottenham are still sat in fourth place in the Premier League despite a significant wobble earlier in the season, and they could even end this round of fixtures in third if they’re able to beat Brighton by two clear goals in their next match.
In doing so, they would be able to overtake Aston Villa on goal differential, denying Unai Emery’s team the chance to top the standings on Boxing Day once more.
After 45 minutes, with a 2-0 lead at Old Trafford, the Spaniard would have been dreaming of tying Liverpool, who are now atop the table, on points.
But Man United rallied mightily to win 3-2 in the second half.

Clearly, Ange Postecoglou wants to change that particular dynamic, and to that end, The Sun are reporting on Spurs’ interest in Bournemouth’s in-form marksman, Dominic Solanke.
The outlet quote a source as saying that; “Spurs want to sign a striker in the summer. The club hasn’t replaced Harry Kane so recruiting a new forward is a big priority and Solanke is someone they are closely monitoring.
This season, they have already dispatched spies to observe him many times, and they want to keep tabs on him far into the New Year.
He fulfills several requirements for Spurs, and Bournemouth is aware that if he keeps up his current level of play, it will be difficult to keep other teams from pursuing him. They are getting ready to receive bids.
According to The Independent (subscription needed), he signed a £19 million contract with the Cherries back in 2019, but his worth has undoubtedly increased since then.
There’s no knowing how much Tottenham or any other interested teams will have to pay for his services if he finishes the season the way he started it.
