Panthers’ Brian Burns confesses ’emotion got the best’ of him in wild ejection
Brian Burns of the Carolina Panthers opened up on his punch and ejection from Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Panthers’ season record now stands at 1-11, and it must hurt harder considering how winnable the game against the Buccaneers was. The final score was 21–18, and Carolina would have won its second game of the season if the offense had produced a little bit more.
Burns must find it upsetting to be losing at this point in his career because he is one of the Panthers’ greatest players, if not the best.
Over the remainder of the season, it will be intriguing to see whether the Panthers are able to secure another victory. The Chicago Bears own the team’s first-round selection as a result of the transaction that gave the Panthers the No. 1 pick in Bryce Young, so there’s no need to lose.
