Heung-min Son explains what he told Spurs teammates before Fulham game
Son Heung-min has revealed that he told his teammates ahead of the game against Fulham that Tottenham have a history of struggling after international breaks, making it clear that there should not be a repeat of the same on Monday
Spurs entered the match against Fulham as clear favorites, but historically, Tottenham teams have faltered in these kinds of matches just as they were beginning to gather momentum.
But the current team proved they are stronger, putting on a polished display to take a two-point lead at the top of the table.
Son Heung-min and James Maddison scored goals in each half to help the home team win 2-0. The Lilywhites’ first-half performance was possibly their greatest 45 minutes of play this season as Fulham was unable to keep up with their fast-paced style of play.

Son admitted that Tottenham should have put the game out of sight by the interval.
The forward told Spurs Play: “I told the players before the game, after the international break we always struggle
and the group never seems to be able to get the right results.
“We just wanted to make the supporters happy and grin after the game on Monday night, and we did that. However, I believe we could have scored three more goals in the first half.
There are already a lot of indicators that this season’s visiting teams won’t look forward to visiting Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and that we will be very hard to beat at home.
This season, we have played a little more cautiously away from home at times. The match at Selhurst Park will be a major test for the players since it is a challenging venue.
