Washington D.C. native Jordan Smith Jr. announced on Thursday that he has received an offer from Darian DeVries and the new Hoosiers men’s basketball staff. Smith announced the news on his X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram accounts. Smith is a 5-star prospect according to ESPN, 247Sports and Rivals.

Jordan Smith Jr., a 6-foot-3 shooting guard from Paul VI Catholic High School in Fairfax, Virginia, is making waves in the 2026 recruiting class. Ranked No. 6 overall and No. 2 among shooting guards, Smith’s recruitment has intensified with a new offer from Indiana University.

This season, Smith led Paul VI to a WCAC championship, earning All-League First Team honors with standout performances, including a 29-point effort in the title game. His all-around game—combining scoring, defense, and leadership—has drawn attention from elite programs nationwide.

Smith has already visited Duke, Louisville, and Syracuse, and has upcoming visits planned to Arkansas.
