Kaizer Chiefs target midfielder Salum: Contract and buy-out clause exposed

Chiefs target Salum is reportedly being offered something new to keep him at the club and fend off interest.

Kaizer Chiefs target Feisal Salum, as news has surfaced about his contract with Azam FC.

Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi is reportedly keen on bringing Feisal Salum to the Amakhosi after previously coaching him at Young Africans. The 26-year-old Tanzanian international has been in fine form, making him a highly sought-after target in the African football scene. Chiefs are said to be monitoring Salum closely, but it seems Azam FC is determined to retain their star player.

“Feisal Salum is a key player for Azam, and the club is fully committed to keeping him on their books . Recognizing his value, Azam is set to present him with a substantial new contract that will not only secure his future with the club. But also make him one of the highest-paid players in the Tanzanian Premier League. The club is determined to retain his services and fend off interest from top clubs across Africa,” a source disclosed.

The new deal is expected to make Salum one of the top earners in the Tanzanian Premier League. With rumours indicating his salary could rise to just over R216,000. However, Kaizer Chiefs has the financial resources to match or even exceed this offer. Leaving Salum’s decision uncertain as he weighs his options.
