Kaizer Chiefs have decided on the second midfielder who will be leaving.
Kaizer Chiefs will be releasing several players in the up-and-coming PSL transfer window in January.
Meanwhile, these exits will pave the way for new signings with a total of EIGHT players linked with Amakhosi.
CHIEFS DECIDE NOT TO RENEW HIS CONTRACT
George Matlou’s current contract is set to expire in June 2025.
However, Chiefs have decided that they are willing to sell him permanently to any prospective club in January as they do not plan to use him.
“His contract was coming to an end in June this year and at the same time he ws injured. But despite that the club had given him another year with another one-year option. But, at the moment the club has decided that they on’t renew his contract nor one-year option when it comes to an end in June next year. So, for now, the club has made the decision that they won’t keep him further as he is not in the coach’s plans going forward,” the insider stated on SNL.
Meaning, he is unlikely to feature much – if at all for Chiefs moving forward. Furthermore, if he does get rare playing time it may very well be his last match/matches for Amakhosi.
TWO AMAKHOSI MIDFIELDERS SET TO LEAVE NATURENA
Chiefs midfielder, Sibongiseni Mthethwa has been transfer-listed.
Therefore, the club is hoping to sell him in January. Ultimately, if both players leave in January, this will clear up space for future signings in the midfield.
Furthermore, Chiefs are linked with Oswin Appollis and Bongani Zungu who could both join the Glamour boys if these players are sold.

NASREDDINE NABI LOOKING FOR NEW PLAYERS TO SIGN
The club’s new coach, Nasreddine Nabi, confirmed to the media that his squad needs continued improvement.
“I think we haven’t finished changing the squad,” Nabi said after Kaizer Chiefs signed Bongani Sam, Fiacre Ntwari, Rushwin Dortely, Inacio Miguel, Gaston Sirino and Njabulo Blom before the season started in September.
“For all decisions, the direction of my eyes is for the best for Chiefs. It is not to be friendly, not to be emotional. For that reason, moving the squad won’t stop window after window.
“Maybe for a player not at our level there will be another opportunity, they will be out.
“People were pushing to see a striker before the last window (closed), but the opportunities were very bad.
“In October, we don’t play many games, and then there is November and December, and after that (in January), a new window will open, and we will have the opportunity to scout the world for the best players,” the Tunisian added.
