Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly sealing a fifth signing. Golden Arrows and former Newcastle player Bradley Cross is coming to Naturena.
Kaizer Chiefs have truly turned away from Fawaaz Basadien. Reports say Golden Arrows’ left-back, Bradley Cross, who formerly played at Newcastle in England, is coming to Soweto.
WHO IS BRADLEY CROSS?
Cross played for Mpumalanga Black Aces and Bidvest Wits before joining Schalke’s U19s in Germany. In 2022, he transferred to Newcastle’s U21s. In 2022, the star from Johannesburg came back to Mzansi to train with SuperSport United. Before Cross vanished to join Kaizer Chiefs, coach Gavin Hunt was fired from the team. Sadly for Cross, Arthur Zwane, a former Amakhosi coach, was not persuaded.
Cross later joined Maritzburg United before leaving them for Golden Arrows last season.
KAIZER CHIEFS TO SECURE CROSS FROM GOLDEN ARROWS
After failing to secure the likes of Fawaaz Basadien from Stellenbosch FC, and Riaan Hanamub from AmaZulu, Amakhosi have turned to Cross.
As statedThe details of the trade have been agreed upon between Kaizer Chiefs and Abafana Bes’thende, according to Sinethemba Makonco of iDiski Times.
“Kaizer Chiefs have reached an agreement with Lamontville Golden Arrows for the transfer of Bafana Bafana defender Bradley Cross,” the report said.
“The 23-year-old made 24 appearances in all competitions, and he also caught the attention of Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos, who picked him for his squad that participated in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in November against Rwanda and Benin.
“iDiski Times understands that Chiefs reached an agreement with Arrows for Cross for an undisclosed fee. The left-footer has already left Arrows and is expected to do his medicals and complete personal terms imminently,” the report added.
