It’s just a theory, but finding the right partner for Mthethwa could open the tap for Chiefs in the final third. He was below his best in 2023-2024, a maiden season at Naturena, but with these stats and his tackling proficiency, Mthethwa is a relatively untapped resource. Nabi must get the most out of him and the team will thrive.

Add three more matches onto that because of their early title win in 2015, you get a total of 355 football matches since Chiefs fans celebrated a title. They don’t need reminding, but that’s the reality.
