Done deal :Kaizer Chiefs complete R10 million transfer deal!

Kaizer Chiefs have completed a big money signing that they hope will help boost the club’s chances of competing this season!

Kaizer Chiefs have finally completed one of their most anticipated transfer deals of the current transfer window.

Inacio Miguel is the fifth signing Chiefs make ahead of the new season, and will be a fourth in defence.

MIGUEL SIGNS FOR CHIEFS

As it stands, Chiefs have signed Bongani Sam, Fiacre Ntwari and Rushwin Dortley to boost their defence. Neither of them came on, and had to watch the Toyota Cup 4-0  loss to the Tanzanian giants Yanga SC . Sam is the only one of the trio who joined early enough to go to Turkey with the squad. The addition of Miguel is thought to be a shake up of their centre-back ranks. While the Angolan can also play in midfield.

On Wednesday Chiefs finally announced the signing of Miguel taking to their website to confirm his arrival.

“In their latest move as they plan for the season ahead, Kaizer Chiefs have secured the services of Angolan international, Inacio Miguel Ferreira dos Santos from Petro de Luanda, one of the biggest Clubs in his homeland. The 28-year-old centre-back, who is simply known as Inacio Miguel in football, arrived in South Africa on Tuesday afternoon to undergo his medical before signing a three-year deal with Amakhosi. Miguel, the first Angolan international to sign for Chiefs’ senior team, is the fifth addition to the squad during the current transfer window.

HE IS THE FOURTH DEFENSIVE SIGNING

He joins Rushwin Dortley, Fiacre Ntwari, Bongani Sam and Gaston Sirino, who all arrived in the last few weeks. The Portuguese-born defender was an integral part of the Petro de Luanda team that participated in the CAF Champions league and won Angola’s domestic league title last season. He has also appeared five times in Angolan national team colours.” Wrote the club’s website.

After adding their fifth signing and expecting more, Kaizer Chiefs are ready to clean house, with as many as 10 possibly leaving!

Kaizer Chiefs are in the process of restructuring their squad ahead of the new season, under Nasreddine Nabi.

So far, they’ve made five signings, with the one of Inacio Miguel, being the latest to be announced by Chiefs.

FIVE DEPARTURES ALREADY

In terms of outgoings Keagan Dolly, Njabulo NgcoboSiyethemba SithebeSifiso Hlanti and Jasond Gonzalez have left. Players such as Mduduzi Mdantsane and Tebogo Potsane are also thought to be at a crossroads at Chiefs. One other player that was mentioned in the same breath earlier last season is defender Zitha Kwinika. Besides the unwanted players, it is believed that some assets have been targeted too and could be sold. One of those being forward Ashley du Preez!

Now according to Soccer-Laduma Mdantsane, Potsane and du Preez are three of 10 players Chiefs are trying to ship out. The rest being Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, Zitha Kwinika, Aden McCarthy, Happy Mashiane, Sabelo Radebe, Lehlohonolo Matlou, Wandile Duba and Christian Saile!

“These are the players (listed above) that the club (Chiefs) would want to see go on loan or sold out. As for Ashley (Du Preez) it’s a different situation because it’s a specific club that wants him. “It’s the same case with Saile who can go on loan and is wanted by two other PSL clubs. Which means now the team will be looking at reinforcing those areas with new players who they have been monitoring and working around the clock to get,” said the source.

A second source added that Chiefs were also willing to offload some academy graduates permanently!

CHIEFS SET TO ADD 10 MORE?

“It’s the same case with Saile who can go on loan and is wanted by two other PSL clubs. Which means now the team will be looking at reinforcing those areas with new players who they have been monitoring and working around the clock to get. But for now it’s about 10 players who could leave the club if you include Ashley Du Preez and Christian Saile as well,” said the second source.

Chiefs fans, are you happy with that list? Who would you like to see be given a second chance? Feel free to leave your thoughts and feelings below!
