It’s a Deal: Kaizer Chiefs New midfielder Just confirmed 

The Kaizer Chiefs academy at Naturena just keeps on producing new kids. Amakhosi have revealed Manqoba Ozoemena.

Kaizer Chiefs have a new young midfielder still in his teenage years. The name Manqoba Ozoemena was confirmed in the Toyota Cup match against Young Africans.

MANQOBA OZOEMENA NAMED IN KAIZER CHIEFS SQUAD

Amakhosi supporters who have watched U19 football and the DStv Diski Challenge will be familiar with the 19-year-old Manqoba Ozoemena. Following Siyethemba Sithebe’s departure, Ozoemena traveled with the Kaizer Chiefs senior team to Turkey, before making the bench for the game against Young Africans in Bloemfontein at the end of July.

RUSHWIN DORTLEY AT KAIZER CHIEFS

Kaizer Chiefs announced Rushwin Dortley as the club’s third signing last week. The 22-year-old has now sent a message to his new brand new club’s followers.

In the meantime, the Belhar-born star has shared his views on the high pressure that comes with wearing the Kaizer Chiefs jersey.

Dortley also promises to work hard towards stopping goals and scoring some.

“Look, Chiefs is one of the biggest clubs in the country” Dortley told IDiski Times.

“And they have a lot of supporters and there’s going to be pressure and it’s part of football. That will at the end of the day help you to improve your game. And it’s going to be tough, but you have to be mentally strong. And I think I can handle it.

“For me, my message to Kaizer Chiefs fans is that I will come there and do my best!” added Dortley.

“I’ll do my best to deliver at the back, to keep goals out. And going forward to contribute, going forward to scoring goals in set-pieces. But mainly that they will know that there is someone at the back that will work and that will do his best!”

FIRST 10 BETWAY PREMIERSHIP FIXTURES

In the meantime, the Soweto giants have confirmed the first set of 10 fixtures for the 2024/25 Betway Premiership.

The season will be starting with an away challenge in Bloemfontein against Marumo Gallants on the 14th of September, followed a home match against Stellenbosch FC on 22 September.
