This comes after Boston’s opening series against the Miami Heat resulted in a concerning calf injury for Kristaps Porzingis. But as of right now, it seems like the 7-foot-2 big man will return to the Celtics’ starting lineup in time for their series against the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Boston Celtics News: Kristaps Porzingis Nearing Return

NBA guru Adrian Wojnarowski dropped a massive update on Porzingis’ injury status on Tuesday. According to the renowned league insider, there’s a big chance the former All-Star is able to return in their series against Indiana:

“When this series returns to Indiana, I’m told that Porzingis could return as soon as Game 4 on Monday,” Woj said. “… There is momentum that he will return in this series.”

 

 

Although there is no assurance that Porzingis will be able to return in this series, it is quite encouraging for the Celtics that he is making great strides in that direction.

Even without Porzingis, Boston is presently seen as the favorite versus an Indiana team that is an underdog. But if they advance to the NBA Finals, their valued big man’s presence will be crucial as they attempt to win title No. 18.
