‘I saw it’: Ange Postecoglou suggests he wasn’t happy with what one Tottenham player did
Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has had his say on how one of his players behaved during the game against Manchester City.
Spurs suffered a 2-0 defeat at home to the champions on Tuesday night. Postecoglou was far from happy with many things that happened during the game, and he touched on that after the loss.
Now, ahead of the final fixture of the season, the Australian has delivered his verdict on one of his players’ behaviour against Manchester City.

The defeat against Manchester City was Tottenham‘s fifth in six games.
The terrible run of results, which saw Spurs lose to Newcastle United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and City, cost them a place in next season’s Champions League.
But Tottenham should be commended for how they performed in their matchup with Pep Guardiola’s team.
For significant stretches of the match, Spurs were the superior team, and if Heung-min Son had converted his opportunity after going through on goal, they would have easily gained a point.
But the Korean missed, and Tottenham lost in the end.
During the game, there was one moment that grabbed news.When Uruguay’s international Rodrigo Bentancur was replaced in the second half, he was infuriated.
Upon witnessing him angrily kick the bench, Postecoglou stated flatly that he was unaware of the reaction and didn’t give a damn about it following the game.
When the Australian was questioned about the incident once more on Friday, he acknowledged that Bentancur wasn’t supposed to react the way he did.
Per Football London, he stated: “Yeah, I saw it, we had a chat about it.” Although I don’t think that’s how you react, he was furious.
“He knows that, but to be honest, it wasn’t the biggest problem I had that evening.”
Postecoglou said, “Well, he just wants to win, he wanted to be out there helping the team to win,” in response to the question of what Bentancur was upset about. He had the want to be battling outside.
Bentancur made a mistake that cost Tottenham
In truth, Rodrigo Bentancur played well against Manchester City.
The Tottenham midfielder was skilled with the ball, gave the opposition some trouble, and even had a close call on a spectacular early-game goal.
But Bentancur found himself in a situation where he was unable to commit another significant offense after receiving a yellow card.
Erling Haaland’s first goal came from a counterattack by the Uruguayan after he withdrew from a confrontation on Phil Foden.
Tottenham lost the game because of it and other factors, which is unfortunate because they could have at least drawn a point on Tuesday..
