Mark Stoops and the Kentucky Wildcats are looking to add to their running back room for the 2024 season, and things are trending their way to do just that.
The rumor that former running back Peny Boone of Maryland, Toledo, and Louisville might wind up in Lexington has gained traction recently.
Boone is predicted by multiple Crystal Ball predictions at 247 Sports to become a Wildcat.
Boone was reportedly paying a visit to Lexington, and the forecasts are now favoring the Cats.
The 6-foot-1 running back, who also added 15 receptions for 219 yards and 1,400 yards of touchdowns, was awarded the MAC Offensive Player of the Year.
Boone would be a great addition to the Wildcats’ space for running backs in 2024, the year that Bush Hamdan takes over as offensive coordinator.

DJ Waller Jr., a defensive back for the Michigan Wolverines, will access the transfer portal, according to Pete Nakos of On3 on Wednesday night. Matt Jones of KSR said shortly after that the Cats will be closely collaborating with the young DB.
A former three-star prospect in the class of 2023, Waller is a 6-foot-3, 205-pound safety from Youngstown, Ohio. He selected the Wolverines over offers from Kentucky, West Virginia, Ohio, Ball State, Marshall, and Toledo.
Waller recorded one pass deflection and eleven tackles in his one and only season in Ann Harbor.
