“Real Asset” –pundit Charlie Mulgrew  praised one celtic player  for quick celtic impact

Adam Idah has been praised by former Celtic utility man and now pundit Charlie Mulgrew for the instant impact he has made in Glasgow.

Fans weren’t filled with excitement when the striker made the move from Norwich to Glasgow on loan, although given his contributions so far, few are now complaining.

Across seven appearances in all competitions, he has bagged five goals and one assist, proving a valuable member of the squad. He was dropped against Motherwell last weekend but came on and bagged a crucial brace off the bench.

Then, midweek against Dundee, Idah was given the go-ahead and scored a strong header to assist start a demolition job. Compared to Yogo, the 23-year-old appears to be more suited to Brendan Rodgers’ playing style.

Since Idah’s arrival, the Japanese center-forward has lost favor, but Mulgrew has heaped praise on the Irishman for his antics thus far, saying, “You can’t ask much more from him” (BBC Radio Scotland via Glasgow Times).

“He wasn’t the glamour signing when he signed but he has really stepped up. Sometimes you find that at a club like Celtic.

“People just can’t handle the pressure and really thrive and playing at a club like this and so he’s shown that he can be a real asset.”

Idah’s record since joining Celtic is really remarkable—he has scored or assisted once every 59 minutes—but his goals have been of an almost magical quality. Five minutes after the break, he pulled the Hoops even at Fir Park, and in stoppage time, he scored the crucial winning goal.

Similarly, Idah scored from close range at Easter Road to give the Celts the lead and guarantee Glasgow would return with the three points.

Idah’s success is expected to be crucial if the title returns to the Parkhead trophy cabinet in May, as he has become a significant figure over the last several weeks.
