Pittsburgh Steelers GM Doubles Down On Justin Fields Trade Stance, Confronts Russell Wilson, Kirk Cousins 2024 NFL Free Agency Rumors

Although the Steelers have long been linked to Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields, Pittsburgh hasn’t made much progress in that regard (at least not from the outside looking in).

On Thursday, Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Omar Khan was cornered by reporters at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, including Mark Kaboly of The Athletic, who asked the team executive what the real score was so far between Fields and the Steelers.

“I’m not going to go into details about the conversations that we’ve had, but like I mentioned earlier, I can tell you that I’ve got an obligation to look at every avenue that’s out there to try to make us a better football team,” Khan responded.

Khan’s answer didn’t provide much for reporters and fans to chew on. That’s the same case with his answer when Kaboly asked him about Russell Wilson and Kirk Cousins.

“I’m not going to get into any detailed conversations,” simply said.

The picture concerning the Steelers’ supposed pursuit of another quarterback will get clearer soon. With the 2024 NFL Draft inching closer and closer, the Pittsburgh Steelers could provide more clarity in the coming days or weeks about their mission to shore up the QB room.
