Tottenham target Conor Gallagher has been one of the best players in the Premier League
Tottenham has been closely monitoring the situation as it relates to Conor Gallagher’s Chelsea future.
The season is going well for the Englishman. Even if things haven’t been well on his end, he has been one of their bright spots lately.
Gallagher started last night’s Chelsea match against Leeds. The 24-year-old, whose team was under duress, won in the ninetieth minute to advance them to the FA Cup quarterfinals.
Many were impressed by the midfielder’s performance, notably Glenn Murray.
Gallagher, according to the former striker for Brighton and Crystal Palace, has been among the Premier League’s top players thus far this year.
Murray told BBC Sport: “For me, Conor Gallagher is one of the standout performers this season. I like what he does – he adds an energy to the way Chelsea play.
“Disappointing performance from Chelsea, there were flashes of what they are capable of and the game did drift away from them. The way they are not killing teams at the moment, I suppose when you step away it is a positive result, but the manner in which it came was a little disappointing.”
Conor Gallagher would be even better at Tottenham
Chelsea are having a terrible season.
The Blues are now 11th in the Premier League table, despite having advanced to the FA Cup’s next round. Considering how much money they’ve spent on their team, that is astonishing.
Gallagher, though, has been among their finest players, even with the lackluster effort of several around him. We are confident he will do even better if you take him and place him in a better team with better players.
In the summer, Tottenham might be that team; rumors have it that the Spurs think they can sign him for £45 million.
