Big boost for Spurs: 21-year-old pictured in training ahead of Palace game

Tottenham Hotspur have received a much-needed boost ahead of their upcoming fixture against Crystal Palace, with star defender Destiny Udogie returning to full training.

The left-back’s return comes following a minor injury that sidelined him, along with Pedro Porro, in their last match.

While Porro’s availability remains uncertain pending a late fitness test, Udogie’s presence in training suggests a potential return to action for the weekend’s game.

Tottenham’s official X account shared an image of Udogie back in training, signaling positive progress in his recovery.

Ange Postecoglou felt the absence of both full-backs during the 2-1 defeat to Wolves.

The defeat saw Spurs slip to 5th in the Premier League table, with Aston Villa seizing the 4th spot after successive victories over Fulham and Nottingham Forest.

Tottenham has a game in hand and can catch up to Aston Villa, who they now behind by five points. This gives them a chance to reduce the gap and secure a top-four finish.

Spurs have the benefit of concentrating only on league games, in contrast to Villa, who are also participating in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Spurs, however, cannot afford any more mistakes as the race for Champions League qualifying heats up.

They seek to keep their Champions League ambitions alive by beating Crystal Palace, and the return of Udogie and the possible inclusion of Porro might be a big help.
