Tottenham ace eager to leave the club but move depends on one key condition

Tottenham defender Joe Rodon currently on loan at Championship side Leeds United, is keen on a permanent stay at the club should Leeds achieve promotion to the Premier League.

The Welsh centre-back has been thoroughly enjoying his time at Elland Road since his loan move last summer.

According to Football Insider, Rodon is eager to leave Tottenham if his current club, Leeds United, can secure a promotion to the Premier League.

The Whites currently sit in 2nd place in the English second-flight table with 66 points, holding a 2-point advantage over 3rd-placed Southampton.

As Leeds set their sights on a Premier League spot, the prospects appear promising for Daniel Farke’s side.

The report indicates that Spurs are seeking a transfer fee in the range of £10-15 million to facilitate Rodon’s departure during the summer transfer window.

A previous report claimed that the club are also keen on cashing on the player who is no longer in the plans for Ange.

Spurs signed Micky van de Ven in the summer and Radu Dragusin in January. It is further reported that they are keen on signing another defender in the upcoming summer window, with Bournemouth’s Lloyd Kelly one of the names linked with the club.

Should Leeds secure promotion, Rodon’s potential move would benefit all parties involved, allowing Spurs to monetize a surplus player while providing Leeds with a reliable defensive option.
