Romero makes huge Van de Ven claim and sheds light on his bond with the Spurs star

Cristian Romero is excited about the partnership that he is forging with Micky van de Ven, with the Argentine of the opinion that the Dutchman is as good as any centre-back in the Premier League.

Romero and Van de Ven complement each other well, with the 22-year-old’s recovery pace and composure at the back allowing the Spurs vice-captain to be at his aggressive best.

The former Juventus man explained that he and his centre-back partner are getting to know each other well on and off the pitch and are gaining a better understanding of the intricacies of each other’s games with each passing day.

Romero also spoke in glowing terms about Van de Ven’s personality as well as his qualities as a player, insisting that on current form, the pacy left-footer is one of the best central defenders in the English top-flight if not the best.
