The Kansas City Chiefs made two significant roster moves on Wednesday ahead of their Super Bowl matchup with the San Francisco 49ers. The Chiefs have two more practices left before they take on the 49ers on Sunday.

In the AFC Championship Game, defensive end Charles Omenihu suffered a torn ACL in the Chiefs’ win over the Baltimore Ravens. Omenihu was having a career season with the Chiefs before the injury. He registered a career-high seven sacks in the regular season.

Per multiple reports, Omenihu will have surgery following the Super Bowl.

The Kansas City Chiefs add Skyy Moore to the 53-man roster

                                       

The Chiefs officially placed Omenihu on injured reserve per the league’s transaction wire. With a spot open on the 53-man roster, the Chiefs activated wide receiver Skyy Moore off injured reserve.

The Chiefs have decisions to make at wide receiver

                                       

The Chiefs will need to make a few crucial choices about wide receivers on the active roster on Sunday. Kadarius Toney, a wide receiver, is healthy to play against the 49ers this week and hasn’t been active since the Chiefs’ game against the New England Patriots on December 17.

Andy Reid, the head coach of the Chiefs, stated he would check to see if Toney would play in the Super Bowl. Which receivers to bench for the Super Bowl will be a decision for the Chiefs coaching staff to make given that Toney and Moore are available to play the 49ers.
