Tottenham plotting late move for 82-cap Int’l, £40-60m offer would get deal done
Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the German international midfielder Joshua Kimmich.
Bayern Munich are prepared to let the 28-year-old leave this month for a fee of around £40-60 million and Tottenham are plotting a late move for him if they fail to sign Conor Gallagher from Chelsea.
A report from Football Insider claims that Tottenham have been in talks with Chelsea regarding a move for Gallagher, but the Blues are holding out for a fee of around £80 million.
Spurs are unlikely to pay that kind of money for the English midfielder and therefore they could look at alternatives.
Kimmich has been a reliable performer over the years and he has established himself as a key player for club and country. There is no doubt that he has the quality to succeed in the Premier League and he could prove to be a useful acquisition for Tottenham.
The 28-year-old is versatile enough to operate as a defensive midfielder as well as a full back. He could prove to be the ideal replacement for Eric Dier who left the club earlier this month.
Ange Postecoglou needs to add more quality and depth to his side and Kimmich could be the perfect utility man.
The 82-cap German international could be tempted to showcase his qualities in the Premier League and the opportunity to join Tottenham will be an exciting one for him. It remains to be seen whether the clubs can secure an agreement over the fee now.
