‘First class’: Peter Crouch says he loves the way £170,000-a-week Tottenham star plays

Peter Crouch has given his verdict on Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder James Maddison.

The former Tottenham striker has named Maddison as a player he would have loved to play with.

So, what has Peter Crouch said about Tottenham Hotspur playmaker James Maddison? Let’s take a look.

Peter Crouch praises Tottenham Hotspur star James Maddison

Well, Peter Crouch has been raving about James Maddison. The 27-year-old England international has been superb for Tottenham Hotspur since joining from Leicester City in the summer of 2023.

Former Spurs striker Crouch has noted why he likes Maddison as a player and has praised him for his delivery.

Crouch told The Daily Mail when asked which current Tottenham player he would have loved to play with: “James Maddison is the one that sticks out. I just love the way he plays and he looks like he enjoys himself.

“His delivery is first class and he’s someone I would’ve loved to have played with. Son as well (I’d have liked to play with).

“But my team wasn’t too shabby. We had Gareth Bale one side, Luka Modric in the middle and Aaron Lennon on the right, with Rafael Van der Vaart behind me. It was a decent side as well so I have no complaints.”

My View: James Maddison a big player for Tottenham

James Maddison will, in my opinion, be a key member of Tottenham Hotspur in the upcoming days, weeks, and months.

This season, Spurs are vying for a spot in the top four of the Premier League and may potentially fight for the championship.

Although I don’t think Tottenham will finish ahead of teams like Manchester City and Liverpool, anything may happen. The title was won by Leicester City not too long ago.

However, my team wasn’t all that bad. Rafael Van der Vaart was behind me, with Aaron Lennon on the right, Gareth Bale on one side, and Luka Modric in the middle. I have no issues because it was a decent side as well.

My View: James Maddison a big player for Tottenham

In my opinion, James Maddison will play a big role for Tottenham Hotspur in the coming weeks and months.

Spurs are in the running for a top-four finish in the Premier League table this season and could even launch a challenge for the title.

I do not think that Tottenham are going to finish ahead of the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool, but you never know. Leicester City won the title not so long ago.

If Maddison wants to lead Spurs to victory this season, she must be performing at her best. He is their key playmaker, and before to being hurt, he was on fire.

The 27-year-old, who earns £170,000 per week (Spotrac), has contributed five assists and three goals to Tottenham’s 11 Premier League goals this season.

Throughout his career, Madison has made 174 appearances in the Premier League. In those games, the playmaker has contributed 37 assists and 46 goals.
