Jurgen Klopp makes emphatic nine-word promise to Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal and Premier League

Jurgen Klopp will say goodbye to Liverpool at the end of the 2023/24 Premier League season and has made a vow about returning to another English club in the future

Jurgen Klopp is dominating the news agenda on Friday after announcing that he is leaving Liverpool at the end of the season. Klopp has been on Merseyside for the past nine years and won everything there is to win while the Reds head coach.

He has confirmed his decision to step down, citing that he is “running out of energy” as one of the reasons

the rationale for his choice. In the next weeks and months, there will be a lot of conjecture over who will take over as manager of Anfield. Bookmakers have already established Reds great Xabi Alonso as the early favorite.

Steven Gerrard, Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi, Julian Nagelsmann, and even Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou were among the other options mentioned early on.

The people that FSG and Liverpool choose will be highly anticipated, but so will be the things Klopp accomplishes moving forward. If he is losing steam, a national position might be more his style; several have even raised the prospect of him coaching Germany at some point.

What is for certain is that any big job that becomes available from now on, Klopp will be linked with the vacant post. Not that that is a concern for the man himself, however.

Klopp has held his press conference today ahead of the game with Norwich this weekend and it was dominated by talk of him stepping down. And he was asked about his future.

During it, he gave Liverpool fans, and all lovers of Premier League football, a resounding nine-word pledge. “I have never lived a [normal] life,” he declared. It is accurate. It was plenty to have three or four weeks throughout the summer, but not more.

“I swear, no club, no country, no other English club ever for the upcoming year. It won’t happen, even if I have nothing to eat.”

That means that Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, and any other potential suitors will not be getting their wish. When it comes to England, it appears that Klopp is Liverpool through and through.
