‘I watched him against England’: Peter Grant backs ‘really impressive’ player to secure Celtic transfer

The January transfer window slams shut next week and Celtic’s only major dealing so far has been the arrival of Nicolas Kuhn.

If things start to go up a level during this next week, then you would imagine a striker could be entering the building at Parkhead.

When questioned about Aberdeen striker Bojan Miovski potentially wearing Celtic colors, Peter Grant told Go Radio that he has been “really impressed” by the player this season.

In 18 games, including 16 in all competitions, the 24-year-old has scored nine goals despite Aberdeen’s difficulties in the Scottish Premiership.

The talk of the striker town in Scotland seems to be the North Macedonia star and Lawrence Shankland of the Hearts.

It wouldn’t be shocking to see the two advance sooner rather than later, whether it’s this month or later in the summer.

And Peter Grant was pretty clear that Bojan Miovski certainly has the skill set to step up at a team like Celtic and score goals.

“He’s really cute,” Grant remarked. “I’ve been rather pleased with him.

“He scores goals.” You will score goals because we generate more opportunities if he can score goals for Aberdeen and you get to play as many games for Celtic.

“At just 24 years old, he plays as a number nine on the national team.” I also watched him play England. He performed admirably against England. I was staring at him at that point. How can he possibly be so good? He appears to be really positive in attitude.
