Celtic in hunt to sign 23-year-old forward after Rodgers makes transfer admission
Celtic are looking to bolster their forward department in the January window, and they have earmarked Bologna attacker Sydney van Hooijdonk as one of their targets.
The lone addition to the Bhoys roster thus far is Nicolas Kuhn, who signed a £2.8 million contract from Rapid Vienna last week.
He most likely won’t be the only addition made this month as Brendan Rodgers hopes to bolster his roster with a striker and a left-back.
Van Hooijdonk may be a possibility for the Hornets, as per a report from Football Scotland, and internal discussions regarding the 23-year-old have taken place among Celtic scouts.
The Italian club has informed the striker that he has no future there, so the Bhoys have an opportunity to sign him. However, unless there is a purchase obligation, Bologna will not approve a loan move.
Celtic is still investigating and has not yet made an offer.
