Arsenal legend makes Spurs top-four prediction that heavily involves Richarlison

Ian Wright has praised Ange Postecoglou for managing to get the best out of Richarlison and suggested that the Brazilian could guide Tottenham to Champions League qualification if he maintains his current form.

Richarlison has been open about his current issues with mental health, with the striker

admitting that getting professional advice on the matter has improved his current state of health (ESPN Brazil).

The forward has been the subject of many jokes from different media sources over the last few months. Gabby Agbonlahor even went so far as to claim that he would be playing in League Two (talkSPORT) if he weren’t Brazilian.

Richarlison, though, has proven why the Spurs paid £60 million to sign him away from Everton after recovering from pelvic surgery at the beginning of December. He has now scored six goals in his last six Premier League games (Optus Sport).

Can Richarlison fire Spurs to a top-four finish?

Wright believes that Postecoglou deserves a lot of credit for the way he has managed the 26-year-old and helped him rediscover his confidence.

The former Gunners striker said on the Kelly and Wrighty Show about Richarlison: “The manager has managed him, managed how he feels and managed his emotions, he needed that, someone to put the arm around him and we’re seeing now.

“I’ve stated that they will undoubtedly finish in the top four if they can get all of those players healthy and Richarlison is playing at that level of play.”

Not only because of his mental health struggles but also because of the kind of person he is, one cannot help but be incredibly happy for Richarlison. The 26-year-old is obviously very popular in the dressing room and plays with his heart on his sleeve.
