Agent says Tottenham is stepping stone for player – ‘Dream’ is Real Madrid or Barcelona
Radu Drăgușin’s agent Florin Manea has suggested to Digi Sport that Tottenham Hotspur could be a stepping stone for the Genoa star to make a big move to Real Madrid or Barcelona.
Spurs are getting closer to finalizing the 21-year-old’s transfer after defeating Bayern Munich, who put up a fierce fight.
Manea announced on Wednesday that the defender has already finished the first portion of his medical examination with Tottenham and that the deal is expected to proceed shortly.
“In three or four years, I see him at Real Madrid,” the agent responded when Digi Sport’s Vali Moraru directly asked where he saw the incoming Spurs star in the future.
Drăgușin’s fine displays this season convinced both Tottenham and the Bundesliga winners to make offers. He
rejected the latter in favor of joining Ange Postecoglou’s team; although, according to his agency, the center defender would have chosen Bayern if he had been a few years older.
“I was observing how thin he was in a photo from when we first started dating at Juventus. We want them to get to the greatest clubs in the world; we’re just getting started,” Manea said.
“Real or Barcelona are his dream teams, but we were close. Bayern is one of the biggest clubs.” Maybe he would have chosen to attend Bayern if he had been 23 or 24 years old and had more experience, but I also considered his age and the competition—I considered a lot of factors.
