Dual-purpose offensive tool When the 2019 San Francisco 49ers lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIV, Deebo Samuel was a rookie. He contrasted the San Francisco team with the 12-5 Niners, who secured the top seed in the next postseason competition.
According to David Bonilla of 49ers WebZone, Samuel stated, “I feel like as a team, as a player, I feel like we are better,” during an appearance on FanDuel TV’s “Up & Adams” program on Tuesday. “We have developed. We have experienced what it’s like to lose and then, following the game, sort of get the top seed. And I’m simply chatting to the guys who were here in 2019 in the locker room. “Bro, aside from the fact that we had to tackle the guy on the inch-yard line, this feels kind of exactly the same,” I remarked.
Samuel was specifically referring to the fact that San Francisco required a crucial defensive stop in order to secure home-field advantage for the duration of the conference playoffs.

According to ESPN stats, the 2023 49ers enter the postseason ranked second in the NFL with an average of 398.4 offensive yards per game. San Francisco is eighth in total defense (303.9 yards surrendered per contest).
The 49ers were the betting favorites with +220 odds to win Super Bowl LVIII and at -125 chances to represent the NFC, according to DraftKings Sportsbook as of Tuesday afternoon. Achieving this would be a wonderful present for Samuel, who turns 28 on Monday.
“I just want to win game by game and just be in the middle of February holding that trophy up,” Samuel stated on Tuesday. “That’s the only birthday wish I got right now.”
Whatever the 49ers achieved in the regular season, many will consider the campaign a failure if Samuel’s wish is not granted.
