Puzzled The Chase host Bradley Walsh couldn’t hide his shock over a contestant’s inability to name Aberdeen as victors in the 1983 Super Cup Final.
Marcus, a Welshman from Neath, was rolling when he gave up a penalty in the host’s eyes because he couldn’t match the team that Sir Alex Ferguson led to victory over Hamburg. That victory, which came months after a thrilling Cup Winners’ Cup victory over Real Madrid, will always be ingrained in the minds of British football fans as the man who is currently considered the greatest manager in history shook the continent.
Sincere Marcus acknowledged that he didn’t like football, and Walsh—looking mischievous—admitted he could tell after answering the question incorrectly on the wildly popular ITV quiz program.
